Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Vilgo collects from delivery riders, how we use it, and your rights. It applies to all riders who deliver orders through the Vilgo platform.

Data We Collect

  • Account: Your name and phone number used to create your rider account
  • Live location: Your GPS location while you are online and on active deliveries — this is shared with the customer and restaurant for real-time tracking
  • Deliveries: Delivery history, earnings per delivery, and completion status
  • Vehicle: Vehicle type registered to your account (e.g. motorcycle)
  • Performance: Customer ratings, delivery completion rate, and average delivery time
  • Notifications: Your device token to deliver new assignment alerts in real time

How We Use It

  • To assign you to nearby delivery orders when you are online
  • To share your live location with customers and restaurants during active deliveries
  • To calculate your earnings and process payouts
  • To send you real-time alerts for new order assignments
  • To display your rating on the platform
  • To verify your identity and approval status

Location Tracking

Your location is tracked only while you are marked as online within the rider app. When you go offline, location tracking stops immediately.

During an active delivery, your live location is shared with the customer and restaurant so they can track their order. Once the delivery is marked complete, location sharing ends.

We do not store a continuous history of your location. Only delivery-level data (pickup and drop-off points) is retained for earnings and dispute resolution.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share it only as needed to operate deliveries:

  • With the customer: Your name, phone number, and live location during an active delivery
  • With the restaurant: Your name and ETA when you are assigned to pick up an order
  • With Google: For maps, routing, and push notifications — see policies.google.com/privacy
  • With authorities: If required by law or a valid court order

Earnings & Payouts

Your delivery earnings are calculated per order based on the applicable rate. Payouts are processed within 2 business days after each successful delivery. Detailed earnings records are accessible from your rider dashboard at any time.

Data Retention

  • Account data is deleted within 30 days of an account deletion request
  • Delivery and earnings records are retained for up to 3 years for legal and tax compliance

Your Rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at info@vilgo.in. We will respond within 30 days. Some data may be retained for legal compliance even after a deletion request.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time and will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest version.
